Eating Paleo when you don't have really have the chance to make your own meals is a pain in the rear.
Granted, every now and then, you find someone who genuinely wants you to succeed and gets to know everything about Paleo so that they can provide a meal that fits.
Mama G is that type of person.
But usually, it doesn't work out this way.
Usually, the cook is making food for mass amounts of people and they can't tend to your needs.
[Like and Girl's Camp. Or Family Reunions.]
Which is perfectly okay, and perfectly understandable.
Actually, I kind of like it.
It presents a challenge.
I like to challenge myself.
I like to be competitive with myself.
And when I'm presented with lots of food options I can't eat?
I'm not tempted to eat them.
[Because nothing tastes as good as being sexy feels.]
But I make it like a scavenger hunt: find all the things I can eat.
I'm having a successful trip so far.
Haven't broken Paleo, not starving.
Last night everyone had apple dumplings for dessert.
I left the house to read on the beach while they ate, and when I came back, I made my own apple dessert.
Simple, really:
put some apples in a mug with a little bit of cinnamon and honey.
Pop it in the microwave for 30-45 seconds and BAM!
Your cinnamon-y apple-y craving= satisfied.
The only thing that I'm NOT a fan of that comes from eating Paleo around a big group of people that don't:
It's all they can talk to me about.
Sometimes it's curiosity. Genuine question are asked for conversation.
Sometimes it's just because they want to tease. They think they're really funny with their Paleo humor.
"Will we have to take our family pictures dressed as cavemen?"
"Are you allowed to eat that since you didn't hunt or gather it yourself?"
"Wait, which websites can you use on Paleo? Are you even allowed to use the internet at all?"
Har dee har har.
It's worth it, though.
My stomach is flatter, I have more energy, and I'm never ever constipated, not ever.
TMI? Get used to it.

Remember Me?
Oh heyyyyy!
Here's the deal. I'll tell it to you quickly and painlessly.
I'm back on the Paleo Train.
Goal? Lose 10-15 pounds by the end of the summer.
Today's eats?
Omellete, 1/2 an apple
2 liters of water.
the other half of that apple.
salad, stuffed with vegetables of course. And some bacon. Yeah.
Paleo Banana Muffin. It was necessary for the Banana-Muffin "All-Day day".
I promise I'm not starving myself. I just was really busy today and had a hard time getting food into the schedule.
Plus I just wasn't very hungry. For who knows why.
That's all for now. You might be hearing from me soon.

Two Week Paleo Hullabalooza
For the two weeks prior to Nutcracker, I, the Muffin, have made the commitment to be Paleo. Because I need to be in my best shape for this lovely performance.
Obviously the 60 day challenge faced the ultimate fizzle out. My mom held strong. Superman and I did not.
BUT--I have discovered that the only real way for me to be committed to a healthy Paleo lifestyle is for me to personally decide to do it. I can't just be a link on. I need to make the commitment personally. And I need to find which 'status' of Paleo works for me. All in due time, my little Cavemen. All in due time.
Anyway, last night I made a very delicious dinner for myself that my Padre was very envious of. (I should have have the foresight to make it doubled but ah well.) It was really easy too! All I did was fry up some chicken, and once it was done, set it aside. In the same pan I fried up about a fourth of an onion and about 1/2tsp-ish of garlic, then tossed in half of a green pepper and two chopped up tomatoes. I cooked that until the juices from the tomatoes had created a bit of a 'sauce', then added the chicken back in. I seasoned it with Ginger, Creole Seasoning(one of my favorite Paleo seasonings. Yea for no dextrose!), and Salt.
It smelled great and tasted amazing!
(Although, if I did make it again, I'd use two chicken breasts and not just one. My vegetable:meat ratio was a bit off.)
Super healthy and very satisfying. I'd totally make it again.
If, ya know, my dad buys tomatoes and peppers again. If. If is good.

Paleo, Day 30 (Halfway there!)
I had a very yummy breakfast this morning.
Bacon wrapped bananas, fried egg, and grape juice.
Only draw back? ...I smelled like bacon all day. And as wonderful as bacon smells, it still doesn't smell very good on a person....all day long.

Paleo Ice Cream
My mom made some AMAZING ice cream the other day. Composed of carrots, coconut milk, vanilla, and banana. We topped it with toasted coconut and a mint jalapeno syrup. It was divine.
